Camp Meeting Closed Until April 15

The Camp meeting is closed each year from October 15 - April 15. We hope everyone enjoyed their time at Brandywine Summot Camp Meeting in 2009 and look forward to seeing you again when we reopen on April 15, 2010. We will have periodic updates on this website before then with information on events and the 2010 program.

Harvest Festival: September 26

Plan now to bring your friends and family to our annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 26th. There will activities for the whole family, including a concert by the fantastic band Freewind.

Enjoy Some "Joyful Noise"

In addition to new program events, a recent addition returns for its second year—the Brandywine Summit Christian Coffee House. Newly rechristened as "The Joyful Noise" Coffee House, we increased the number of dates for this popular venue from three to five this year.

Plan now to join us at Biddle Hall for food, fellowship, music, and—of course—coffee, when "The Joyful Noise" opens for business. Our next date is September 11th at 7:00 pm, featuring keyboardist Jeff Raught .

We're Back!

At long last the website is being updated for the 2009 program season—our 144th year of continuous operation! It has been a bit more hectic than usual this year as we've added additional program events but the results should be well worth the efforts. Please check the Program page for the complete schedule. Information on the various events is being added and will be available shortly.

In keeping with recent tradition, the program is based on a unifying theme. For the 2009 season the theme is "Serve the Lord with Gladness" (Psalms 100:2). Each of the three Fellowship Weekends is based on an aspect of service:

  • Weekend 1, June 26-28: Service to Others (Mark 10:44-45)
  • Weekend 2, July 10-12: Service to Ourselves (Romans 12:1-2)
  • Weekend 3, July 24-26: Service to God (Joshua 24:15)

Is Your Cottage In Safe Shape?

Please make sure that the following items are in place to ensure the safety of yourself and fellow cottagers:

  • a working water hose attached outside of your cottage
  • your cottage number on the front and back of your cottage that emergency vehicles can spot
  • a working smoke detector—check that battery!
  • a fire extinguisher
