Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting is a haven for worship, fellowship, renewal,
and spiritual discovery of Christian principles. Located in historic
Chadds Ford, PA, we are a community of cottagers and visitors, surrounded
within the natural beauty of the Brandywine River valley yet readily
accessible from major highways.
The Camp Meeting is a Christian nonprofit association, open yearly from
April 15th through October 15th. It is one of the oldest ongoing Camp
Meetings in the United States, having been in continuous operation since
its establisment in 1866.
Camp Meeting Facilities
Our Tabernacle seats 400 and was built in the early 1900's. Singing,
music, and sounds of nature mix in praise of God. Biddle Hall holds 100
and is used for our weekly covered dish dinners on Saturdays at 5 pm.
The Collins Building is our Camp Meeting office, lounge, group meeting
place, library, and mailroom. An in-ground swimming pool by Biddle Hall
is available for cottagers and guests. Gifts, knick-knacks, books, decorations, furnishings, and more can be purchased at the Cottage Treasures store. Archives, mementos, and photos
are on display in the Museum; while candy, ice cream treats, and gifts
may be purchased at our Corner Store.
Handicapped Provisions
Handicapped parking spots are reserved near the Tabernacle for program
events. There are handicapped-enabled restrooms located in the Collins
building and next to Biddle Hall. The Tabernacle, the Collins building,
and Biddle Hall are wheelchair accessible.
